Asian Designer Week 2017

Asian Designer Week was a 3 day international fashion event held in Talkatora Stadium Delhi.
Day 1 : The opening show of the Asian Designer Week was presented by Rinku Sobti, the highlight of the collection was IKAT, a distinct style and pure cotton weaves of Mangalagiri. The famous model, actress, Gauhar Kahan was the showstopper of the opening show by Rinku Sobti.  Bijay Gautam, Nepal presented his collection, Himalayan Odyssey which was inspired by the vivid natural beauty coexisting with the hard working people from the mountains. Nepalese Supermodel and an upcoming actress, Paramita RL Rana show-stopped the show.

Day 2 : Hrishitaa Bhatt walked the ramp for the designer Nidhi Mehra (Aahana’s) who showcased scintillating combinations and hues, the collection was ideal for any occasion.
Acid attack fighter, Ms. Ritu Saini also walked the ramp for designer Disha Chadha. Inspired by the saying ‘Beauty Lies Within’, Disha Chadha every single outfit from the collection symbolizes the beauty and strength of a woman. 
 Designer Nazia Rahman’s from Bangladesh collection was inspired by the Garo tribe of Bangladesh. Garo tribe’s unique and individual sense of cultural attire influenced her designs.Designer Sweety Sharma from Assam dedicated her entire collection to the economic development of the rural women, by inspiring, empowering them and building a strong base in the handloom textiles.Designer Dimuthu Sahabandu’s collection was an underlying source of inspiration for the Spring Summer collection showcased at ADW 17 is derived from the Portuguese influence in the traditional Sri Lankan attire in early Ceylon. Focused on frills.

Day 3 : Divya Jain from Beawar, Rajasthan NextGen Fresh Talent introduced her collection inspired by Khadi. With an aim to take ‘Khadi’ from the villages to the urban wardrobe and make it a preferred fashion fabric amongst youth Divya took and turn Khadi into contemporary style.

MANIERE by BhavikaBokadia has brought Emprean collection and  Supriya Aiman the Indian model and crowned Glamanand Miss India International 2015 walked the ramp as showstopper.

RISHI PREETI VIBHUTI the designer trio came with elements of surprises. The fusion of colors and embroidery of the collection has shown elegance and grace.FOLKLORE collection by Sana Sapra and Tanika Thakur was inspired by Mandlas which is known as a circle of life.The Grand Finale Show by Designer Anupama Dayal concluded the event perfectly.
